Bleu is the reflection of uniqueness, freedom, sophistication. Founder and Designer Didem Targay’s immense admiration for design, architecture, art and craftsmanship informed the launch of her brand in 2017. The vision of the brand is creating shoe line takes it’s place in women’s closets as a shoe art piece same as a timeless fine jewellery.
Didem Targay has been graduated from award winning Milano’s first private design and architecture university Scuola Politecnica Di Design bachelors and Interior Design master degrees. Before launching her brand, she was travelling and living between her hometown Istanbul and Nice Cote d’Azur for 4 years.
She has created her first collection between those periods and the brand name comes from the blue sky, turquoise color of the sea, joy and richness of South France with artistic blending of Turkish great culture, art, history, architectural inheritance and inspiration of like minded women’s life style and fashion taste. Didem says “ BLEU has a huge past, experience, passion, hardwork, cultural and personal investment at background.
Before I have launched my own brand and still beside my brand I have been in charge of custom made productions of multi national and niche brands in shoes, bags and small leather goods over 15 years under my own company. Beside my design education and my huge passion for creating, I am incredibly hands-on production process which is the real priceless treasure for a designer for many reasons. That’s the real power to take out your dream shoe by sketching papers into physical; developed pair. My wish is maintaining
the handcrafted artisanal craftsmanship with designs coming from my heart that I enjoy and love to wear them in any moment of my day and night and sharing this joy with BLEU Women.
Didem is running her shoes production in her cheerful atelier with her team and all shoes and collections are made in Turkey in STUDIO BLEU with finest leathers, exotic skins and premium materials.
